Komet-Gründe in Vienna-Meidling is to be completed within the following weeks. It houses a hotel, rental apartments and office spaces.
The redevelopment of Komet-Gründe in Vienna-Meidling is almost complete. Its ground floor houses Vienna's newest shopping centre, whilst 10,000 sq. m are dedicated to shops and restaurants. Muller and Billa Plus will become anchor tenants.
In addition to these, the 60-metre high tower has nearly 22,000 sq. m of office space, a 265-key hotel operated by the German H2 Group and 166 rental apartments. The owner of the project is the Raiffeisen Upper Austria subsidiary Real-Treuhand.
Komet-Gründe is to be completed within the next few weeks. The escalators here are already installed. The offices are nearly completely occupied and the hotel is set to open in Easter. The 166 rental properties will be released soon, with a presentation of a model apartment. Unfortunately, the residences will not be available to purchase, but only to rent for a limited period of time.
The development is cooled 100% by the Vienna Canal. The building is also connected to the district heating system. In line with the ongoing sustainability trend, the roof has photovoltaics. Before construction started, the Wiental cycling path, which ran through the neighbourhood, was relocated to the other side of the river.
