The holy month Ramadan is coming to an end and will be followed by the joyful holiday of Eid al-Fitr. The team of Luxury Immobilien GmbH sends its sincere congratulations on one of the most significant Muslim occasions.
Eid al-Fitr celebrates the end of the holy month of Ramadan, which is one of the most significant periods for all Muslims. That said, the translation of "Eid al-Fitr" from Arabic means "festival of breaking the fast". The holiday lasts for the first 3 days of Shawwal, which is the tenth month of the Islamic calendar. As the Muslim calendar is based on the lunar cycle, each year the timing of Eid al-Fitr varies.
On the first day of the festival, believers perform a communal prayer (salat) at daybreak after cleansing themselves and wearing new clothes. A common greeting during the festivities is "Eid Mubarak", which translates as "Blessed Eid". As a rule, during the festival, Muslims visit their family and friends, exchange presents and visit graves of their relatives. According to the intercultural calendar on the City of Vienna portal, in Austria, Eid al-Fitr will fall on April 21st, however, the exact date will be confirmed upon the moon sighting.
Every year, during this festival, Dubai hosts a range of firework displays across its most popular destinations, including Jumeirah Beach and JBR. There are also special events for the little ones, for instance this year, Dubai Parks and Resorts will have the ILLUMINATE light and sound show, whilst IMG Worlds of Adventure will treat its visitors to henna and face painting, as well as thematic music shows.
The team of Luxury Immobilien GmbH sends its most sincere congratulations on the occasion! May you and your family have a wonderful Eid this year, blessed with the gift of kindness, patience and love. Let this special festival bring you happiness, prosperity and peace. Eid Mubarak!
